General FAQ

  • Who is this course for?

    This course is for members of NDAA only. More specifically we are seeking prosecutors that have two years or less of experience with cases involving DNA, as well as those prosecutors who work in underserved communities with less access to training programs of this nature.

  • How is this training delivered?

    This is a blended learning training program consisting of a self-study portion followed by a live Zoom training.

    Attendees will be selected by NDAA.

  • How do I apply for the course?

    To apply for this course, please use the application found on the NDAA Website.

  • If I am selected, how do I register for this course?

    Once final selections have been made, you will receive correspondence directly from Stetson University College of Law regarding the course. Specifically, you will receive a link to enroll in the self-study course through our Online Learning Management System, Thinkific.

    If you have any issues using the link to register, please email us directly at [email protected] and we will assist you in obtaining access.

  • How will I access the course?

    Once you have logged into Thinkific through the link we provide, you will be asked to create a password and will be enrolled into the course. From that point forward you can simply go back to the course page within Thinkific to complete the online coursework.

    Once your online coursework is completed you will be enrolled into a second course which will contain the Zoom link needed to attend the live-stream of the training.

  • How long is the course?

    The course consists of approximately 4 hours of online coursework, which must be completed prior to the live-streaming portion of the training.

    The live-streamed portion of the training is approximately 8 hours.

  • How long will I have to complete the online portion of the training?

    The course will remain open to attendees until May 23rd and must be completed prior to attending the live-streamed training.

  • What device requirements do I need to access the Thinkific online learning system?

    For Thinkific to run smoothly, please make sure your desktop computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, or smart device has the following:

    • Graphic and audio output capability
    • Broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 5Mbps (recommended)
    • PDF plugin
    • Javascript enabled
    • The most recent version of a web browser listed below

Continuing Legal Education (CLE) FAQ's

  • Will any CLE’s be offered for this Course?

    Yes, CLE's will be offered for this course. The course has already received CLE accreditation in Florida, and Pennsylvania and applications have been submitted for California, Kansas, Minnesota, New Mexico, Ohio, and Utah. New York and Connecticut have reciprocity with FL so CLE's are also approved in those states. CLE applications were submitted in the states where the largest concentration of attendees were located.

  • How are CLE’s obtained?

    We will provide all the information necessary for you to obtain CLE on your own within your home state should we not seek accreditation in that location. However, if your state prevents you from filing there on your own and you would like to obtain CLE credits, please email [email protected] with your request and we will review the accreditation standards and make every effort to obtain accreditation in that state.
